making cozy gaming ASMR vids

my first cozy gaming ASMR video is out now! check it out here on YouTube.

I've had this idea for a while ever since I stopped competing in e-sports and stopped Twitch streaming about 5 years ago.

I really loved gaming and filming the games I played, but I didn't really enjoy the live-reaction interaction from streams. I felt like my focus was often split, even though sometimes it was fun to have an audience watching me play in real time.

I thought about transitioning to let's plays, playthroughs of games I enjoyed. then I thought, okay but there's seriously enough content out on the Internet, do I really need to add more noise with my own?

since AI came out and has gotten really mainstream, I've seen a lot of people who are actually turning away from generative AI content and craving real human content. between that and knowing that climate change and the depletion of energy faster than we can produce it will probably lead to our ultimate extinction as a species, I thought, why not? especially now. after years, I haven't really seen any dedicated genre of "cozy gaming asmr" that focused on ocean-themed games, so I'm starting there.

the other games I currently have lined up:

  • Loddlenaut
  • Spilled!

games I've been suggested:

  • Slay the Spire 2 (but probably not because it's just mouse clicking and no keyboard clacks)

if you have suggestions for other video games, email me at hello@divrnaut.com! I'd love to hear them, and what you thought of Shelldiver pt 1.

I really needed a break from my other projects and life circumstances, so I booted up a mindless game and figured that I might as well start filming too. I'm actually pretty happy with the outcome and feeling accomplished that I'm doing something I've thought about for literally half a decade.

I hope you enjoy the content :)
